“Your Valley of Achor Becomes Your Acres of Hope!” in 2021

Happy *2021!!*Recently, I heard the Lord whispering a phrase to my heart over and over again!  So, finally, I got up and wrote this in my journal book: “Your Valley of Achor Becomes Your Acres of Hope!” What a play on words! Hosea 2:15 came to my mind immediately. “There I will give her back her vineyards and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope.” I got really excited about this because I believe this can be true for each of God’s believers as an encouragement as we come into the New Year of 2021! God wants to restore to us what has been taken, lost, or delayed in the year of the pandemic.

I have also been journaling and sensing from the Lord that He wants you and me to rest in Him more. He wants us to come away, pause and ponder Him and all of the amazing things He has done in our lives this year! He wants us to slow down and reflect upon Him as we go through our daily activities. He wants us to hold Him forever in front of us, knowing He IS with us, loving and guiding us. He wants us to give Him our troubles in our Valley of Achor because He has so much hope in the Acres of Hope He wants to give you! I also keep hearing God say to my heart, “Revival and reawakening are coming to those who are Resting in Him! And, Rest = Revival!”

Revival is defined as restoration to life, consciousness, vigor, strength, and awakening to what matters to God. Anyone needing rest, feeling worn out from the year 2020?! Well, I have great news! Isaiah 65:10 says, “Sharon (which was a plain in the Valley of Achor) will become a pasture for flocks, and the Valley of Achor a resting place for herds, for my people who seek me.” You probably know by now, Achor means trouble. The CEV Bible version of Hosea 2:15 shares, “I will return your vineyards, and then Trouble Valley will become Hopeful Valley. You will say “Yes” to me as you did in your youth when leaving Egypt.”

God will restore what has been taken away as we look to Him and rest in Him! But, God asks us to look forward into what He is doing (not looking backward at Egypt like the Israelites did when they were stuck in the wilderness, pining for meat, leeks, and garlic!) and instead…be hopeful in anticipation of what He will do in 2021!! In those moments when you start to waver and doubt that God is with you, remember that God has signed His Name upon you, His child! As believers in Christ, We are marked by Him! Revelation 3:5 says, “The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life but will acknowledge that name before my Father and His angels.”

Let me further encourage you today with Isa. 51:1. “Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn.” Notice the KEYWORDS: LISTEN, SEEK,LOOK! We must do all 3 of these actions to come out of 2020 and enter into the Acres of Hope-into your Promised land! A place filled with exuberance and laughter, thankful voices, and praise-filled songs. He turns the hard and wrenching times into something useful, even great, even when we can’t see what He is doing! He brings HOPE out of our disasters! I believe He is giving you more space to get grounded and founded in Him! (Rev. 2:3) says, “God sees how you have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.” He longs for us to rest in our Valley of Achor so that He can bring you acres of HOPE, restoration, rejuvenation, joy, and peace! I am praying this over you and into 2021: Lord God, I am praying for your people to have– a happy and peaceful 2021 as they seek you, listen and look to you! Help us love you, Lord, our God, with all of our heart, soul, and strength! Father, help us draw closer to Jesus as we close out 2020 and enter our New Year! In Jesus’ powerful name we pray, Amen.  Here’s to a faith-filled year fully drawing closer to Jesus!

Love and joy, Holly

The Lion of Judah~ The Detonator!

I recently had a dream in which the Lion of Judah came walking into an urban area. There were high rise buildings all around. Oh, that’s so odd I thought in my dream. Here comes the very Lion of Judah walking right into the city! Suddenly, He roared! It was such a loud, piercing, and ferocious roar, it detonated the air. I saw His swirling breath change to water. This living water though was slightly thicker than water, as if it had oil mixed in. There were bubbles in this liquid and it moved down the urban streets above the ground!

As this liquid came upon people, salvation and miracles broke out! Chains fell off people! Addictions, sadness, depression, and suicide broke off the hearts of people.  As His fierce roaring and breath moved out and on, it came to burnt-out places where a fire had ravished an entire suburban area.

As I looked up and down the streets, only cement foundations remained covered with deep gray ash. As the Lion of Judah’s breath and living water came over the burned-out subdivision, the houses started to grow back. The grass grew and the buildings erected right before my eyes! Color and life came back into the area. Hope grew!

As I started to wake up from this dream, I heard the word “detonated.” It is not a word I usually use, so I looked it up online. Detonated means to explode with sudden power and violence. Synonyms for detonated include exploding, blast, blow up, burst, discharge, fulminate, let go, and shoot off. The antonym is to dismantle. Your prayers infused by Holy Spirit power and the Word dismantle and detonate the atmosphere blowing up the plans of the accuser. Your prayers bring the thunderous power of God! These are life-changing, faith-building, and miraculous prayers! Never forget the roaring detonation power you carry!

The Latin renders the word detonated as detonatus, which means “thundered forth.” I think of the Sons of Thunder, James, and John, the fishermen of Mark 3:17. Thunder is loud; it can be frightening and definitely gets your attention! The Thunder brothers were probably nicknamed by Jesus because He knew they could be loud and react harshly to those who came against them. Sometime in John’s life, he went from a salty, harsh fulminating fisherman to the beloved disciple of Jesus! John’s thunderous dark clouded emotions blew apart by the roaring bright love of the Lion! Wherever you are today, God is your life changer and emotional bondage breaker! HE IS bringing new life, new opportunities, new purposes, and plans to your life even in the midst of the burned-out places in your life. HE IS bringing beauty from ashes. HE IS growing you and adding bright, prismatic colors to your heart! HE IS enlivening and emboldens you to roar on, and roar forward!

Jesus’ dunamis power or the (Greek) word for power also means explosive power found in John 18:5-6 when Jesus was going to be arrested before His life’s mission on the cross. “Jesus, knowing full well what was about to happen, went out to the garden entrance to meet them. Stepping forward, He asked, “Who are you looking for?” “Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. (Now Judas, the traitor, was among them.)

He replied, “I am He.”  And the moment Jesus spoke the words, “I am He,” the mob fell backward to the ground!”

Every one of these strong men including Judas the traitor fell backward to the ground by the roaring power of God. Jesus was in charge that night as Lord of Lords (Lion of Judah) and Savior (Lamb of the World). They could not take hold of Him unless He relinquished His rights to them. All evil has to bow at the Name of Jesus. So roar in powerful praise the great Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

The first definition of detonated included violence which brings to mind Matthew 11:12 (NIV). “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.”

The Greek word biazō (Strong’s G971) means heaven is taken by violence, carried by a thunderous storm.  It also means a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought for with the most ardent zeal and the most intense exertion.  I am praying you and I will have the most ardent zeal to carry out His purposes, His divine projects, purposes, and revivals! When the Greek word biazo is translated into Hebrew it becomes a clear reference to Micah 2:12-13 and includes the “breaking forth.”

The Lion of Judah roars today that the kingdom of heaven is forcefully advanced on earth by you, as you pick up your divine purpose and move forward! I prophesy that you will not let the world and its ideas, perceptions, and voices of judgments stop you! You are propelled forward by the roar of the Breaker, Holy Spirit living within! HE IS breaking through to create opportunities for you. HE IS breaking through for you, so pick up your dreams again. HE IS out in the front, leading you on!

There will be NO MORE limitations upon the Roar of your roar! The Lion of Judah, our Breaker has gone before us and is still going before us causing our purpose, our voices, our divine destiny to erupt, and suddenly explode into being!

Did you know confinement (Micah 2:13) also pertains to the period from the onset of labor to the birth of a child? God is birthing your destiny right now! As you roar in prayer and faith, decreeing and declaring His perfect outcomes, the Detonator roars back, bringing into fruition what He has already set in motion for YOU!

The Lion of Judah loves you and He is for you!

Love, Holly

Stand Here and Let The Light In ~ John 3:16

Stand here quietly before the Lord as I remind you of all the great things the Lord has done for you and your ancestors.” 1 Sam. 12:7

1 Sam. 12:16 (RSV) “Now therefore stand still and see this great thing, which the Lord will do before your eyes.”

Exodus 14:13 And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will work for you today; for the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.” This is referring to wiping out the Egyptians with a mighty, crashing wave as they pursued the Israelites fleeing from Egypt. This final crashing wave was so unexpected, so swift, so final! When God acts who can reverse it?

He is calling the ecclesia, His church to stop out of the box of its four walls to get a little crazy and speak love and encouragement. He is calling us to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Revival needs to come! Praise and worship Him! Light the fire of hope in your heart and help someone else rise in Christ’s hope! God is bringing revival! I want to be a part of it. How about you?

I challenge you today: will you share the gospel at least one time today? Share it 1x a day! How? Speak it forward, on your social media posts. Speak it to a co-worker. Share with a family member or a friend. Ask the Lord who you are to share it with today! I bet you can come up with other creative ways! Let’s start a revival one person at a time! 1 person- 1 a day!

Here’s a simple way to give the gospel message- it’s as easy to remember as ABC.

Aacknowledgeaccept that Jesus is God’s only Son. (John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”)

Bbelieve He died on the cross for your sins. (Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” and Philippians 2:8 “And He humbled Himself even further, going so far as actually to die a criminal’s death on a cross. ) Believe He was resurrected (restored to life from God, His Father) from the grave after three days of lying in His tomb.

Cconfess that Jesus is Lord overall and you want Him to be the Lord of your life.

Eph. 5:14 (The MSG) exhorts us in these last of the last days, “Don’t waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, the barren pursuits of darkness. Expose these things for the sham they are. It’s a scandal when people waste their lives on things they must do in the darkness where no one will see. Rip the cover off those frauds and see how attractive they look in the light of Christ. Wake up from your sleep, Climb out of your coffins; Christ will show you the light! So watch

For this reason He says, “Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine [as dawn] upon you and give you light.” (Eph. 5:14 AMP)

Church! Let’s wake up! Let’s rise up! Jesus is coming back soon! (No, I do not have a date or a time. Only God, the Father knows!) Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times!

Rev. 1:1 (TPT) shares, “This is the unveiling of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to share with his loving servants what must occur swiftly.” The unveiling means when Jesus comes back for His followers, He will be seen or unveiled!

Rev. 1:1 the footnotes of the Passion Translation Bible explain it this way: this does not necessarily mean “soon” from the writer’s perspective, but that once the time comes it will quickly happen. The Greek phrase en tachos (similar to “tachometer”) means that once something starts, it will take place swiftly.” A tachometer is an instrument measuring revolution per minute, as of an engine. It can also mean various instruments for measuring or indicating velocity or speed, as of a machine, a river, or the blood. (www.dictionary.com)

The red blood of the Lamb of Jesus has been poured out for yours and my salvation. Let’s share with others the Great News of the gospel today!

I have heard different pastors say in this time of history,  “We are in a red line moment.”

God was calling the people, and He calls us today:  Rise up my people! He calls us to be taller than your surrounding landscape! Be braver than what you see! He is always going to do something bigger and unexpected! Go and share the lifesaving message of our Lord Jesus! He IS coming back, so let’s take as many people with us!

When the people of Israel saw the mighty power that the Lord had unleashed against the Egyptians, they were filled with awe before Him! They put their faith in the Lord and in His servant Moses.

What about today? What do you see happening around you? Any injustice or evil will come crashing to an end when Jesus comes into the scene!

Ephesians 6:12 emphatically states we are not fighting against people, government, or a virus. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

Invite Him into your heavy challenges, despair, and disappointment! He’s got you! We can have confidence in Him! You can come up higher and over your difficulties in Him! It’s so important to do so…so we can rise up higher and share the gospel today! One a day begins a Revival!

Proverbs 3:6 (TPT) “Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on Him to guide you, and He will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with Him in whatever you do, and He will lead you wherever you go.”

 #LetHisLightIN    #John316Revival    #entachosmoment #1aday

“In that day the Lord of hosts will be a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of his people; and a spirit of justice to Him who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.” (Isaiah 28:5-6 RSV) Let Him be your strength as you share the gospel! Have no fear of man!

It’s time church! Let’s start a revival by sharing with 1 person a day…or more! God will bless your efforts and lead you wherever you go!

Love and grace,

Holly

God Will Not Forget You

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, or show no compassion for the child of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.” (Isaiah 49:15 NRSV)

Just as a mom is sensitive to when her baby needs feeding, God is ultra-sensitive to His children. He says I will never forget you… I will never leave you. I love you too much to let that happen.

Do not think just because you are going through a hard season that God does not care! That is furthest from His truth! Look up! Come up higher! He IS the God who sees you and loves you every moment of every day!

I appreciate how attentive He is to our needs. “I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!” (Isaiah 65:24 NLT)

Psalms 18:1-3 shares David’s feelings of love and praise to the Lord when He rescued David from all his many enemies, including rescue from the cruelty of Saul.

“Lord, I passionately love you and I’m bonded to you, for now, you’ve become my power!

You’re as real to me as bedrock beneath my feetlike a castle on a cliffmy forever firm fortressmy mountain of hidingmy pathway of escapemy tower of rescue where none can reach me. My secret strength and shield around me, you are salvation’s ray of brightness shining on the hillside, always the champion of my cause. All I need to do is to call to you, singing to youthe praiseworthy God. When I do, I’m safe and sound in you.”

David doesn’t use the usual Hebrew word for love “ahav” (Jehovah Ahava means God is love).

He uses the Hebrew word for pity or mercy, “raham.” It means when a mother loves and pities her child so much it manifests with a deep love and emotional bond, creating the emotional desire to embrace and touch! (TPT Footnotes, Ps. 18:1-3)  I sure have felt this with my own children and the young children I have taught! Have you ever felt the need to give the Lord an air hug? Go for it! (Sometimes I squeeze my bible close, knowing Jesus receives my hug!) You are having the response He wanted for you at this moment and always! He loves you so much… so love Him back!

Be blessed today no matter what is going on in your world!

Love, Holly

All Glory To Jesus

Romans 8:14-19 {The Passion Translation}

“The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit. 15 And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” [or a spirit of slavery] leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of GodAnd you will never feel orphaned, for as He rises up within us, our spirits join Him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!” 16 For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as He whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!”

17 And since we are His true childrenwe qualify to share all His treasures, for indeed, we are heirs of God Himself. And since we are joined to Christ, we also inherit all that He is and all that He has. We will experience being co-glorified with Him provided that we accept His sufferings as our own.”

Are you moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit? Do you notice when He is whispering to your heart? Are you choosing to obey Holy Spirit? You are truly good enough in Him! When you try to feel “good enough” which means “Now, I’ll finally be accepted” you will strive to work harder, do better or do more. This leads us back into fear, which is not a character of God. Fear is not okay for a believer to camp out with. I am not saying we cannot do better in our relationships, jobs or be more devoted followers of Christ. But, the question to ask is, “Why am I striving so hard and working harder and putting in longer hours at my job? What are my feelings behind the striving?” Honestly peer into your heart. Do you have insecurity, fear and low self-worth wanting to do more or be more? These thoughts can lead you into a spirit of religious duty or legalism.

Instead, we can find our true and real life in the full loving, unconditional acceptance of Jesus! He has removed the fear of judgment today and at the end of this age! In fact, you have been fully enveloped into His family! God is your Abba Daddy, your beloved Father! God, your Maker, is a loving and tender Father to each of His children! He has adopted you! He chooses you today and over and over again!

And, you know what else He does for us? As we are joined in Christ and to Christ we become joint heirs with Him! Quite amazing! We were once wandering rebels so far away from God and His ways. Once we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior He bequeathed us with His loving grace making us His royal princes and princesses! We qualify to share in all of His treasures verse 17 shares, because we are heirs of God Himself! These treasures aren’t jewels, gold, material things…but Christ, our Messiah! He is our great reward! As we live our lives devotedly and sacrificially unto the Lord, we share in Him today and into eternity.

He embodies all the fruit of the Spirit: all love, all joy, all peace, all patience, all kindness, all goodness and perfect self-control. I believe in heaven, we will know what Jesus is speaking to us at all times. There is no veil between us or miscommunication. I also believe we will know His perfect love and will know how much He loves us and how we are fully and completely known…without a shadow of a doubt.

1 Cor. 13:12 (TPT), “For now we see but a faint reflection of riddles and mysteries as though reflected in a mirror, but one day we will see face-to-face. My understanding is incomplete now, but one day I will understand everything, just as everything about me has been fully understood.”

I realize that everything I know and see today is only part of the big picture that is coming… before we know it. His transforming love will bring us all face-to-face with God in heaven sometime…soon!

In Romans 8:17 we read, “We will experience being co-glorified with Him provided that we accept His sufferings as our own.”  This means as we accept what He went through in His earthly life, all for us. It also means we accept the whole package of Jesus: His sorrows, His joys, His sufferings, the pain He agonized through and the love He poured out on the Cross of Calvary. We share in His experiences equally as if it was our own experiences. This is our true and real identity. Jesus identified with us as a human Man and yet fully God. We acknowledge that what He went through is what we will also face (maybe not crucifixion but we are called to die to ourselves daily, and pick up and carry our cross) and go through in this rugged mountainous journey.

The good news is “if we suffer jointly we will enjoy glory jointly.” (TPT footnotes Rom. 8:17)

Doxa is the Greek word for glory which can be translated radiant beauty, splendor, or perfection.

Rom. 8:18-19 says, “I am convinced that any suffering we endure is less than nothing compared to the magnitude of glory that is about to be unveiled within us.19 The entire universe is standing on tiptoe, yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters!” (See John 17:21-23)  Amazing glory all the while we stand as royal children of our Most High and Gracious God, Abba Daddy! He has a passionate love for us so much that we will be one in Him and Jesus, through His blood. Christ’s glory will come to us, enter us, fill us, envelop us, and then be revealed through us as partakers of the glory. This “unveiling” (apokalypsis) is the same word for the last book of the Bible, “The Revelation [Unveiling] of Jesus Christ.” The verb tense in the Greek text is clear that this “unveiling” is imminent, soon to happen, and destined to take place. (TPT footnotes, Rom. 8:19) Who knows the exact timing, but God does!

“He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?” Rom. 8:32 (NIV) He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?” God gave us His only Son, so we could live with Him today and in eternity! We can depend on Him to give us what is necessary to bring us into final glory into our heavenly homes!

Just to be with you… Jesus gave His everything!

(If time is drawing near to Jesus’ return, who in your world needs to hear about His life-saving love?)   Please share Jesus and John 3:16 with them! Let’s start a worldwide revival!

Held by His loving grace,

Holly

Arrow Tips and Heart Wounds

(an excerpt from my new bible study “Train To Reign: Living Your True Identity With Victory And Authority”)

Train To Reign: Living Your True Identity With Victory And Authority: LaChappell, Holly: 9798574125915: Amazon.com: Books

Hebrews 12:1-4 (The Passion Translation) “As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us.”

2 We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because His heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His, He endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!

3 So consider carefully how Jesus faced such intense opposition from sinners who opposed their own soulsso that you won’t become worn down and cave in under life’s pressures. 4 After all, you have not yet reached the point of sweating blood in your opposition to sin.”

Do you know the enemy is constantly shooting his fiery darts or arrows at your heart and mind? These fiery darts (arrows) break off and the arrow tips lodge themselves deeply into our hearts creating wounds.  These heart wounds create anxiety, reaction issues, control issues, sadness, depression and addictions. The consequence of carrying an arrow tip inside is a wound is created that weighs us down and keeps us from running our race with freedom. (Heb. 12:1 footnote TPT)

Then, we can become so entangled in these heart wounds and our issues that we begin to doubt God’s goodness. We start to doubt His promises could ever possibly be for us….thinking maybe for someone else, but surely not for me. This is a sin of unbelief and such a lie from the abyss.

If we are going to run (or walk) life’s marathon (journey) with passion and determination to run alongside of Jesus, His life, love and teachings, we must let Him heal us of these heart wounds. How do you do this? Pray and release them to Him. Journal and ask Him what He says about you and your wounded areas. Process through your hurting areas with a safe and trusted friend or counselor. Get the Word into your very being by reading it, really get still and marinate it and memorize scripture! Then, you are filled with Him, His life giving and changing thoughts to combat the arrows of the enemy. Realize that as you read it, you are hearing from our divine Maker! HE IS speaking to your heart and soul! Believe Jesus!

Fasten your eyes on Jesus who births faith in you! He endured the agony of the cross for you. He wants to share His life with you. Your identity is wrapped up in Him and His redeeming life’s work of love! The Greek word agona means agony or conflict. On our obstacle course called life, Jesus wants to enter into your conflicts and wounds. He wants to heal you.

We will have conflict and great challenges-we know this usually on a daily basis! Rest assured, He has marked your path ahead of time. This means, He has set us on a predestined individually, tailored journey, a destiny for each of us that we are to give ourselves fully to reach. For me, this is super helpful and comforting to know! As I get on board with Jesus, I just need to follow Him daily along the path He has already carved out for me!

In this time of our lives, friends we must contend for our faith! As we contend,we can conquer! To conquer is defined as: to overcome or overpower, or conquer a bad habit by starting some good habits. To conquer also can mean to be a victor, champion or a medalist.

Remember victory is described as someone who habitually overcomes and conquers. It doesn’t mean you are sinless or perfect but that you rely on Christ for help, forgiveness and victory. Not yourself. Overcoming means winning the battle over the lure and temptations of the world. Our goal should be to escape the grip of sinful habits and desires. To overcome the world, we need the power of Christ that is active in our lives through faith in Him. We can trust Him to help us every time we ask for help!

Ps. 91: 15 (TPT) “I will answer your cry for help every time you pray,

and you will find and feel my presence

even in your time of pressure and trouble.

I will be your glorious hero and give you a feast.”

Yes, friends! We are to be entwined in Him so much so, that we will wait quietly, patiently and bravely! And, when He comes through for us, as He always does, (in His perfect timing) we can shout for joy letting our heart explode with praise as we celebrate Him alone with our songs!

Great is His faithfulness! He will never fail us, leave us nor forsake us! Praise Him today and along the journey!

Love in Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith journey!

There’s Another In The Fire

There’s Another In The Fire

In our crazy and chaotic world, life is confusing and things just do not “add up.” We find it hard to make sense of life and what is happening around us. The GREAT NEWS is we can be held by Jesus, our anchor in every storm! (Hebrews 6:19) He holds everything together and is unchanging. He makes our life “add up” in Him, creating peace out of turmoil. Thank Him that His authority, power, love, and peace reign supreme today and tomorrow!

Look at Daniel’s three friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego captured and held captive by Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon. (Daniel 3:1-30) The three godly young men had the favor of their captors until it became time to bow down and worship the 90-foot golden statue King Nebuchadnezzar had erected in his own honor. Verse 4-6 shares, “Then a herald shouted out, “People of all races and nations and languages, listen to the king’s command! 5 When you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes, and other musical instruments, bow to the ground to worship King Nebuchadnezzar’s gold statue. 6 Anyone who refuses to obey will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.”

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego knew they could not bow down to another king or god nor worship a golden statue. They knew their decision to stand for God their Maker, could cost them their lives.

Verse 11-12 says, “That decree also states that those who refuse to obey must be thrown into a blazing furnace. 12 But there are some Jews—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—whom you have put in charge of the province of Babylon. They pay no attention to you, Your Majesty. They refuse to serve your gods and do not worship the gold statue you have set up.”

Could it be you have been thrown into a fiery trial because you stand up for your faith and conviction as a follower of Christ? You can know that you are surrounded by Jesus and His loving presence. His grace is sufficient for anything we will go through! Hallelujah! We need to remember this today.

The three young men were thrown into the blazing fire that was heated seven times hotter than usual, according to the furious rage Nebuchadnezzar had for the once favored and promoted friends.  13 Then Nebuchadnezzar flew into a rage and ordered that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought before him. When they were brought in, 14 Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you refuse to serve my gods or to worship the gold statue I have set up? 15 I will give you one more chance to bow down and worship the statue I have made when you hear the sound of the musical instruments. But if you refuse, you will be thrown immediately into the blazing furnace. And then what god will be able to rescue you from my power?”

Have you heard the bully of your soul whispering something similar? …Who will rescue you now? Who is going to help you now? Just know there is “another” in the fire standing next to you! His name is Jesus and He has conquered the grave! He has risen victorious over EVERY devious scheme of the enemy.

The three young men’s response was amazing! They did not cower in fear. They did not make excuses for their stance and worship of our One true God.

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18 But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.” Such courageous faith is shown and spoken respectfully!

The Bible shares there were a fourth person in the fire with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Verse 25 “Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god!” Biblical commentaries suggest it was either pre-incarnate Jesus or an angel sent by God that was protecting the three men in the fire.

Do you know that their clothes did not even hint at smelling like smoke? Vs. 27 “Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched!” Can we count it joy in every trial, battle, and hard day? If so, we will find Jesus in the middle of that wrenching hard moment, in the fire with us!

Verse 28 says something I would not have thought Nebuchadnezzar would say, “Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel to rescue His servants who trusted in Him. They defied the king’s command and were willing to die rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.”

Daniel 5:20-22 tells us what happened to King Nebi after he became arrogant and prideful, forgetting what God had done for him showing him miraculous signs and wonders. “But when his heart and mind were puffed up with arrogance, he was brought down from his royal throne and stripped of his glory. 21 He was driven from human society. He was given the mind of a wild animal, and he lived among the wild donkeys. He ate grass like a cow, and he was drenched with the dew of heaven until he learned that the Most High God rules over the kingdoms of the world and appoints anyone he desires to rule over them.”

Eph. 1:11 says, “He chose us in advance, making everything work out according to His plan.” Wow! All praises to God, our Father who loves us, chose us in advance (not on a whim, but thought of you and me in advance!) and will watch over our lives, making certain His plan for us comes to beautiful fruition in spite of our sins and downfalls! He will always accomplish every purpose and plan in His heart for you, bringing you to fulfill your destiny (calling, purpose) in His timing and ways! Let’s be willing, humble, and obedient before Him, lifting up our God, Most High always!

In the end, King Nebi promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to even higher positions in the province of Babylon. They chose to worship and serve God over the world and He was the One who ultimately promoted them.

Stay strong my friends! Fix your hope firmly on your anchor, our steadfast and true Savior, Jesus!

Love and joy in the midst of trials,

Holly

Today Is The Day!

Today Is The Day!

“Today is the day you rise above your enemies, the tormentors! Today is the day to accelerate in me! Today is the day for freedom and liberty in me! Today is a breakthrough day! Today I will go before you and prepare a way where/when there seems to be no way! Today is the day of my manifestation and love poured out. Open your eyes of your heart to see it!” Jesus whispered to my heart recently.  He continued and has repeated to me more than once lately, I make streams in the desert… “I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures. Don’t you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19 (TPT)

The enemy wants to slow you down and distract you from Jesus’ love and timing. The good news is he is defeated through our union, our bond, our oneness with Christ as we share in the triumphs of His cross and victorious resurrection. The word of our testimony is powerful, too. Your story is personal and unique to you. People are not apt to argue what He has personally done for you, taught to you, and therefore lived out by you! The blood of our sacrificial lamb (Jesus) covers all of our sins and makes a way for us to come to the Father.

1 John 2:13-14 (TPT) “I remind you, fathers and mothers: you have a relationship with the One who has existed from the beginning. And I remind you, young people: you have defeated the Evil one. I write these things to you, dear children because you truly have a relationship with the Father. I write these things, fathers and mothers because you have had a true relationship with Him who is from the beginning. And I write these things, young people, because you are strong, the Word of God is treasured in your hearts, and you have defeated the Evil One.”

We defeat the enemy by our relationship with God and speaking out loud, victorious scriptures in our time of need. When you treasure and meditate on scripture, the Holy Spirit will bring it to mind when you need to use it as the Sword of Truth! The accuser of mankind has been defeated because Jesus’ Authority has been established. We have Jesus’ authority in us as co-heirs of Christ, seated in the heaven lies, so we can rise up against the spiritual warfare that comes our way.

Then I heard a triumphant voice in heaven proclaiming:

“Now salvation and power are set in place, and the kingdom reign of our God and the ruling authority of His Anointed One are established. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who relentlessly accused them day and night before our God, has now been defeated—cast out once and for all!” Revelation 12:10 (The Passion Translation)

What about the evil you see going on around you? Proverbs 14:22 (NIV) helps us: “Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.”

At the cross of Christ, we see His Life, Death, and Resurrection. He is a Leader to all who would follow His example of love, joy, and peace. We too can become His followers and leaders. How you ask? By being a beautiful example of what it means to follow Him daily and practicing His ways of living and loving patiently with His demeanor and grace.

“Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already—you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there.” Isa. 43:19  (GNT)

Sounds like a breakthrough and an acceleration! Believe Him! He is going to do something amazing in your life!

Have a joy-filled day drenched in Jesus’ love!
Big Blessings,

Holly

Hi Friends,

I am excited to share my first children’s book, “Poppy & Dot’s Adventure.” I wrote it for my grandchildren! 🙂

Friendship is a gift! Poppy and Dot are best friends. They love to play and have grand adventures together. They teach each other what it means to be a good friend; caring, sharing, and accepting each other just as they are even in the midst of their mischievous adventures! Their friendship teaches us that a true friend will love you no matter what!

Faith and Fear

Faith and Fear

Fear is like two large dogs and one very small dog with a cute bow in its hair barking ferociously! They are fenced in but their bark is deep and loud, just like fear! My dog runs to the opposite side of the road every time we run past them and their growls. We can stare at fear, or we can just keep moving past it with God’s help. We can shout out prayers and scriptures for help. We can stand tall and take on Jesus’ full authority. Praise and worship are super helpful because it reminds us who is in charge- our King Jesus, the Resurrected One!

“His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under His covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.” Ps. 91:4 (TPT)

You’re OK my dear, He whispers gentle encouragement to your heart even when the barking dogs (which is your fear, anxiety, panic, or dread) seems to be coming after you. Take on My full authority! Keep calling out to me my dear one, I’ve got you! His victorious work on the cross is beckoning you forth. His favor is gladdening your heart!

Running or walking through life, the valley can appear dark and shadowy even cold. Then, when you start coming out of the valley you realize now you are climbing up a muddy, rain rutted mountain! You notice you are moving slower, but you’re moving higher into the Sonlight! It can be a rough, rocky path, stepping one foot slowly in front of the other.

Just remember your Shepherd is guiding you with His rod and His comforting staff. He will pull you away from “the cliff of trying to fix yourself” especially when the enemy whispers you have to do it all by yourself and you’ve got to make things happen. God gives back what the enemy has stolen from you.  Let Jesus love you and comfort you. You are resting safe and secure in His loving arms. Ps. 25:5 (TPT) says, “Escort me along the way; take me by the hand and teach me. For you are the God of my increasing salvation; I have wrapped my heart into yours!”

In Psalm 25:5 The Hebrew word most commonly translated as “wait” (wait upon the Lord) is qavah, which also means “to tie together by twisting” or “to entwine” or “to wrap tightly.” This is a beautiful concept of waiting upon God, not as something passive, but entwining our hearts with Him and His purposes.

PS Jesus’ words to you do not change in the valley of despair. God says, “You are still my royal son or daughter wearing your crown and holding your scepter high!” I wonder if Esther in the Bible knew how winsome she was to other people. I wonder if she really realized the favor God presented to her in the form of a royal crown. Esther was held in captivity but she was held captive by the lover of her soul, Jehovah Ahava, which means God is love. I’ve thought a lot about Esther’s life.  There are so many details we don’t know.  There are so many things that aren’t written about her. Esther was an exile. I wonder if she and the girls were ever allowed to leave the palace grounds without a eunuch…probably not since she and the other girls had lost a lot of freedom.

We’re not told what the Jewish girls spoke about in the harems. I can imagine that they wondered when Yahweh would come and deliver them. Maybe you’re starting to wonder that too and you’re asking Jesus, “When are you going to come and release me out of this situation; out of my fiery trial?” Rest assured He has a solution even before you whisper that there is a problem. Esther was crowned queen of Persia with God’s great favor and behind the scenes care.

How many of us go through our lives not realizing the favor God has lavished on us. Just as He has lavished His love upon us as children of God, His love is our identity. The battles in this life are won with God’s help, grace, and loving guidance!

‘O Lord our God, let your sweet beauty rest upon us and give us favor. Come work with us, and then our works will endure, and give us success in all we do.” Psalms 90:12 (TPT)

Activate your faith and move fearlessly in Jesus, the Author, and Perfector of your faith!

Love, Holly
